Texas Ramp Project Partners with DGKF

June 19, 2024 – The Texas Ramp Project (TRP) is proud to announce the successful completion of 22 wheelchair ramps in the Victoria North Region, significantly enhancing mobility and quality of life for local residents. This achievement was made possible by a generous $5,000 grant from the Don G. Kaspar Foundation, received in August of last year, and additional funding sources.

Client Impact: In 2023, TRP launched a Client Survey to assess the long-term benefits of the ramps. Findings include:

  • Continued Use: 78% of clients still use their ramps

  • Shared Use: 23% of surveyed ramps are used by multiple people

  • Quality of Life: 94% of users reported improved quality of life, citing increased safety and gratitude

Operational Update: The cost of lumber, a significant factor in ramp construction, has stabilized at approximately $25 per linear foot, allowing TRP to maximize the impact of its funds.

Recognition: The Texas Ramp Project has been awarded the GuideStar Gold Seal of Transparency for the sixth consecutive year, reflecting our commitment to transparency and accountability.

"This funding has been instrumental in helping us ensure that no one in Texas who needs a wheelchair ramp goes without one because they cannot afford it."

I am super excited to be apart of the Don G. Kaspar Foundation team! My background has been managing and owning a site work construction company for 26 years. A few years back, as I’ve been walking closely with the Lord, I have exited my company to answer a call to seek a ministry degree in Biblical & Theological Studies w/ a second major in Biblical counseling. I hope to bring my business background and spiritual leadership to this foundation in order to further the kingdom impact for the glory of God in our community and beyond.
